Make Your Voice Heard by the President and the Board of Governors

It’s time to make our voices heard beyond the bargaining table! ATPUO has launched a letter-writing campaign addressed to the President and the members of the University of Ottawa’s Board of Governors. We invite you to write to them to share our reality, our priorities, and the importance of reaching agreements that fully recognize the work of Teaching Professors.

Why Write to the President and the Board of Governors?

Decisions made at the University of Ottawa have a direct impact on our working conditions and on the quality of education our students receive.

Our members teach more than half of the University of Ottawa’s courses. We are at the heart of the University’s teaching mission, yet we work under conditions that include precarity, lower compensation, limited access to benefits, and little job security.

Our working conditions are our students’ learning conditions. The Board of Governors must understand this reality and use its authority to call on the administration to reach a fair agreement quickly.

Invite Your Students to Participate

Our students also have an important voice to bring to this campaign. Invite them to participate and write to the president and the members of the Board of Governors to share their experiences and explain why fair teaching conditions matter to their education.

You can share the campaign link with your students!

Every letter matters. The more Board members hear directly from Teaching Professors, the harder it becomes to ignore our reality.
